Our Story

A Legacy Born in Berat

First produced on September 1, 1967, Konjak Skënderbeu emerged from the historic Kantina Skënderbeu in Berat — a city UNESCO calls the "City of a Thousand Windows," nestled in one of Albania's finest viticultural regions.

Today produced exclusively by ADOL sh.a., the only company legally authorised by Albanian authorities for the production and packaging of Cognac Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu. Every bottle carries the name of Albania's national hero — and the weight of that honour is taken seriously in every barrel and every blend.

The alcohol is prepared and aged only in oak vats, tuns, and barrels, which give it its unique aroma, bouquet, and deep amber colour. Essences are entirely natural — derived from mountain plants and fruits of the Albanian and regional flora.

Harvest & Selection

Only the finest Albanian grapes and mountain fruits are selected, grown in the mineral-rich soils of the Berat valley.

Distillation

Traditional distillation methods extract only the purest spirit. The XO undergoes double distillation for exceptional refinement.

Oak Maturation

Aged exclusively in oak vats, tuns, and barrels. Time is the essential ingredient — imparting the unique amber colour and layered aroma.
